Tony is a culture and new media advisor to the Arts Games project and in 2008 he provided cultural and business affairs services to the Arts Games during the Beijing Olympics. He has negotiated music deals for digital and mobile in China and is working on arts projects for Brazil. He has been an advisor to federal and provincial governments on several cultural, music and new media initiatives and has appeared before the CRTC representing broadcast clients.
Tony has been an award winning music publisher for thirty-five years. For 22 years his publishing company – The Pangaea Music House – was the Canadian sub-publisher for the Harry Belafonte catalogues and for 20 years he administered the Jeff Healey Band catalogue. Tony publishes the music of multi-award winning singer / songwriter Ken Tobias as well as music by east coast sensation Jessica Rhaye; Juno Award winning artist, composer and producer Eddie Bullen; and Toronto songwriter David Bray along with music for numerous film and television shows.
Tony is Vice President of the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA); Vice Chair of the Canadian Music Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA). Over his career Tony has served on the boards of numerous Canadian cultural organizations including SOCAN; Interactive Ontario (founding director); CARAS (Juno Awards); Canadian Independent Record Production Association; Cultural Human Resources Council; Ryerson University Media Arts; Humber College Jazz Program and many others. Tony resides in Toronto.
